The Engage One acts as a POS, self-service, and interactive signage station with biometric security and barcode scanning and printing accessories. It houses a 7th-gen Intel Core processor, a self-healing BIOS, and more. The Engage Go is a convertible device that lets employees transition to walking around the floor to a fixed countertop. It’s designed to work with the HP Engage Mobile device, which has up to 13 hours of battery life and can charge to 50% in 30 minutes.
HP Engage Flex and DaaS
HP is also offering the Engage Flex Pro and Pro-C, a modular systems platforms that provide strong security, video surveillance, in-store processing, and a Windows 10 operating system. Naturally, the whole portfolio is available as part of the company’s DaaS offering, where customers pay a subscription fee for access to constantly updated hardware. With it, HP is hoping to help quickly modernize retail. “The retail industry is constantly evolving. In addition to new technology to improve customer interactions and reinvent in-store experiences, retailers are looking for ways to manage their devices more efficiently and effectively,” said Aaron Weiss, vice president and general manager of retail solutions at HP. “Drawing on customer insights and our culture of innovation, the new HP Engage lineup and its availability through HP DaaS are designed to deliver the performance, security, and flexibility that businesses need so they can provide the experience-focused shopping environment their customers expect.” The Go Convertible and DaaS products are due for release in September, while the Flex Pro and Pro-C will launch in August.
